How your neighborhood may be affected:
- Through lanes may be closed or reduced
- Sidewalks at intersections may be closed
- A detour option will be provided if roads are closed to through traffic

Highland Otis Park Improvements
Mingo Avenue
This project includes the removal of existing drystack keystone wall, demolition of curb, gutter and sidewalk, clearing and grubbing, and excavation of sand for play area. The project also includes providing and installing new play equipment and wood fiber play area, site furnishings, paving, walks, curbs, construction of driveway and ADA parking stall, and construction of Trex boardwalk.

City of Seaside Fire Station Upgrades
1635 Broadway Avenue
Upgrades includes the abatement of the exterior paint and texture coating, removal of dry rot and damaged siding, install of new siding, removal of six existing bay doors and associated equipment, install of six new overhead bay doors with associated electrical and plumbing modifications and new paint on exterior of building.

Laguna Grande Park Improvements
Canyon Del Rey Boulevard and Hilby Avenue
This project includes the demolition of concrete curb, concrete pavement, and asphalt walks, clearing and grubbing, and excavation play area. The project also includes providing and installing new play equipment and rubber safety surface play area, site furnishings including bench relocation and drink fountain, paving, walks, curbs, and replacing detectable warning surface.

Regional Urban Water Augmentation Project (RUWAP)
Coe Avenue to Pacific Crest Drive
On June 15, 2020, the MCWD Board of directors awarded a Construction Contract to Monterey Peninsula Engineering for the District’s Regional Urban Water Augmentation Project (RUWAP) - Recycled Water Distribution Pipelines phase, which also includes three potable water line projects. The RUWAP consists of the construction of recycled water distribution pipelines to provide recycled water from the Monterey One Water‘s (M1W) Advanced Water Treatment Plant (AWTP) north of Marina to urban users in the MCWD service area and former Fort Ord, which include the Cities of Marina, Seaside, Del Rey Oaks, the County of Monterey and California State University Monterey Bay. Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project CalAm
General Jim Moore Blvd between Hilby and Coe Avenue
California American Water is working on the installation of 5,300 feet of a water transmission main pipeline. For more information on the project visit their website at: www.watersupplyproject.org.

March 14 – 18: To install the another connection from the new CalAm pipeline to their existing pipeline, at the intersection of General Jim Moore and Hilby Ave., traffic control will be in place.

California American Water (CalAm) Water Main Relocation
Kimball Avenue between Wheeler Street and Fremont Boulevard
California American Water is working on a water main replacement with concrete and asphalt restoration to follow. Project completion estimation is May 2022.
